STOFFEL! STOFFEL! (SPOILER BELOW!)
Outqualified JB, and battling to the death with Sergio Perez, a noted Bahrain specialist, without VTEC kicking in (YO!) like it’s no big deal? So glad he got a drive for the weekend and his Honda works.

How about haas though? Fighting Red Bull for 4th in only their second race! And Wehrlein fighting Force India and Sauber in the Manor.

Wehrlein’s shocking me. I knew he was good, but there was alot of criticism about how quickly other Mercs were getting out of his way in DTM. Nice to see Manor fighting in the pack!

There are a lot of politics in DTM with the drivers that the manufacturers pick to win the championship getting the best cars and others getting worse cars, some of which are several years old. It is very impressive to see him fighting and passing cars that should be several seconds a lap faster.

If you ignore what happens with the top 3-4, F1 is super interesting right now. Vandoorne looks great, Haas looks great, Manor looks very feisty. The mid pack stuff is great right now.

Yeah the mid pack is great, but this year is the same as last year when it comes to the top 3-4. For the most part we will be looking at a 1-2 Merc, 3-4 Ferrari, with maybe like today a 1-3 once every 2-3 races and 2 times at best a Ferrari will win. For someone to win except those two teams there must be some catastrophic thing occurring.

Yeah, that’s why I was worried that he was just a teen idol being made by Mercedes, but that was a fantastic drive.

Agreed. Ferrari might pick up the pace a little as the season goes on...it looks like they're good on power, Haas was plenty quick in a straight line too. But yeah, it's gonna be the Mercedes show again for the foreseeable future.
